Getting started with Valise
Create an account and start tracking artworks in Valise.
Valise is a tool for artists to track and manage their artwork inventory. Alongside each work you can record editions, locations, consignments, sales, exhibitions and other presentations, and press, so your whole practice lives in one archive.
To get started, create a free account. You can sign up with your email address or with a Google account. Once you’re in, we recommend starting with a few things.
Add your artworks
Add artworks one at a time with the Add artwork button. You only need a title to get started. You can fill in the rest of the details over time. Read more about artworks.
Bring in your existing archive
If you already keep records elsewhere, import them all at once instead of re-entering them. Valise can import from a spreadsheet, ArtLogic, Artwork Archive, or Art Record. Read more about imports.
Create a collection
Once you have a few artworks, try grouping them into a collection. Collections are useful for preparing a show, sharing a selection of works with a gallery or collector, or just organizing related works together. Read more about collections.
Invite others
If you work with a studio assistant, gallery representative, or anyone else who helps with record-keeping, you can invite them to your vault and give them an appropriate level of access. Read more about members.
If you have any questions, you can always get in touch and we’ll be happy to help. You can also book a quick demo if you’d like a walkthrough.
