Getting started

A guide to onboarding to Valise

Valise is a tool for artists to track and manage their artwork inventory.

Valise is currently in beta. You can join by booking a demo.

Once you’re in, it helps to start with a few things:

  1. Add your artworks. You can add artworks one by one using the Add artwork button, or bring in your existing archive all at once with imports. Either way, you only need a title to get started — you can fill in the rest of the details over time. Read more about artworks.

  2. Create a collection. Once you have a few artworks, try grouping them into a collection. Collections are useful for preparing a show, sharing a selection of works with a gallery or collector, or just organizing related works together. Read more about collections.

  3. Invite others. If you work with a studio assistant, gallery representative, or anyone else who helps with record-keeping, you can invite them to your vault and give them an appropriate level of access. Read more about members.

If you have any questions, you can always get in touch and we’ll be happy to help.
