As a visual artist, I work through ceramic sculpture and functional design to explore form and narrative. My practice is rooted in deep reflection, seeking to find a tangible answer for each concept. I let myself be guided by the artisanal process, focusing on creating plaster moulds and glazes from scratch, which are what narrate the concept through my pieces. Inspired by our own nature that of emotions, mainly love and everything that moves with it I create pieces that carry fragility, which in turn makes them stronger. Within each one, I seek elegance and, whenever possible, exclusivity and personality.

The Mediterranean is the sea of my homeland, the one that recognizes me and in which I recognize myself. In my work, I always aim for my pieces to have almost no weight, letting the surface tell the story of the idea or concept. In this case, a memory of blues, turquoises, dark greens and the foam, the sea. Porcelaine and Stoneware Slip-cast from a handmade plaster mould, finished with glazes created from scratch.

Barcelona Ladies was a set of three porcelain pieces where the surface, more than the form, carried its narrative from the very beginning. These three pieces belong to "La Família"(The family) Collection and conceptually represent a very specific group of women in my family. My grandmothers and great-aunts, maternal and paternal, together lived through a war. One even had her skin torn by a piece of shrapnel; others always showed their scars, carrying grief, pain, and unforgettable memories. But the elegance of all of them, their presence and their beauty, were never diminished. Strong women. Fragile. Undeniably beautiful.
